Terms of use
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ryan Soanes, trading as MagLab (“we”), about using MagLab. By installing or using MagLab, you agree to them.
Your licence
- Free trial. You can use every feature of MagLab for 7 days to decide whether it’s right for you.
- Subscription. While your subscription is active, you may use MagLab on up to 2 computers at a time, with the features of the plan you chose (Standard or Pro). You can use it for personal and business work, including printing products you sell.
- Ending. If your subscription ends, MagLab stops printing and exporting. You can still open and design layouts, and everything you made is yours to keep.
What you mustn’t do
- Share your licence key, or use it on more computers than your plan allows.
- Resell, rent or redistribute MagLab.
- Get around the licence checks, or reverse-engineer MagLab except where the law allows it.
Buying, cancelling and refunds
Subscriptions are sold by Polar, our merchant of record, and Polar’s buyer terms apply to the payment. You can cancel at any time from your account page; MagLab keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Our refund policy explains refunds, including the 14-day money-back guarantee.
Updates and changes
Your subscription includes updates. We may improve, change or remove features over time, but we won’t remove a main feature of your plan during a period you’ve already paid for.
Internet connection
MagLab needs to reach the internet now and then to check your licence. It keeps working offline for up to 14 days at a time.
Your work
Your photos, designs and printed products belong to you. You’re responsible for having the right to use the images and text you print.
Our responsibility to you
We work hard to make MagLab reliable, but we can’t promise it will be free of errors or suit every printer and purpose. Before a large print run, print a test sheet.
To the extent the law allows, we’re not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or wasted materials, and our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending these terms
If you break these terms, we may end your licence. You can stop using MagLab at any time.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts there. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live.
